(9/29/2008) - On Friday, September 26, Charles Christian, Chairman of the HIMSS Board, and H. Stephen Lieber, President and CEO of HIMSS, sent a letter on behalf of HIMSS to Representatives Pete Stark (D-CA) and Dave Camp (R-MI) in response to the newly introduced “Health-e Information Technology Act of 2008,” H.R. 6898. This letter referred to legislation introduced on September 15, 2008, by Representative Stark, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s Subcommittee on Health.
